Alvin Ang is a Professor at the Department of Economics of Ateneo de Manila University, and recently completed his second term as Director of Ateneo Center for Economic Research and Development (ACERD).
He has over three decades of experience as an economic development specialist, investment analyst, corporate planner, program officer, lecturer, and director in government, private sector, and academic research institutions.
Alvin Ang holds a PhD in Applied Economics from Osaka University, a Master in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Santo Tomas. He is a lifetime member of the Philippine Economic Society and a Christ follower.
